Nincompoops EVERYWHERE.

It happened again.. . I hit a stumbling block on being a #contentqueen. I’m not 100% sure what happened, I was on SUCH A ROLL with it, constantly filming and editing and posting, but the past month has been like ‘Pls no’. I have had zero enthusiasm for filming, editing or posting.

I don’t know if there’s just been too much going on, but my motivation for it was low. I did do one thing though, which was a mass unfollowing on my Instagram. I realised the people in my ‘most shown on feed’ are not people whose content I actually engage with, and they’re not people who engage with my content, so I got rid of them.

During my mass unfollowing I noticed

1. I was following people who I last spoke too over a decade ago, with some of them we’re not even in the same field anymore and have nothing in common content wise.

2. I was following people from a decade ago who had gotten married and had kids and their feed is full of pictures and videos of their parters and children (who I don’t / won’t ever know). That felt a bit intrusive on my part. I shouldn’t know your kids online and not in real life, so – unfollowed.

3. I was following a load of artists whose content I make sure I support just to give them that extra ‘like’ or ‘comment’ or ‘push’ on their content but who never ever support me and mine – unfollowed.

This 2026 I have posted such a variety of content: Octaves vlogs, BBC Radio 1Xtra vlogs, selfies, cooking vlogs, heck I even had Lola Brooke up in my restaurant and some of the people I was following didn’t give it a single second of engagement, which is cool you don’t have to like every or anything that I post, but – unfollow, cause why are you here?

I also went on my IG stories and removed a bagga people and ghost profiles who are constantly watching my stories and have been for years but never, ever reply to them, spark conversation or support the posts, cause again – why are you here?

It’s funny cause it was genuinely nothing personal, but the clear out felt good and in another month I’ll go back through and do another round of it. Maybe when that’s done properly, and my followers and following are more in line with those who actually engage, I’ll feel more inclined to start posting again, but I dunno man, the vibe was weird it was just ‘off’.

One thing I did do though was step out of my comfort zone and feature on Eman’s “Bread and Butter” Podcast.

The chat was great, the hosts are wonderful, and it’s such an important platform in terms of giving out financial advice, sharing stories, and helping the people dem.

When it dropped, people had such lovely things to say and it was reshared and reposted multiple times across multiple platforms. But isn’t it funny how 1000 people can say nice things, and then there are a few uneducated nincompoops who always just try to ruin it.

I made the mistake of looking at the comments of one of the posts I was tagged in. The post was about how I turned down working at Atlantic Records when I was younger.

Someone commented talkum bout ‘She fumbled the bag’ and it took everything in me not to reply to her. Cause the babe obviously didn’t even watch the podcast. I literally purchased two houses and a restaurant with the money I made when THE TIME WAS RIGHT and I later did go and work at Atlantic Records.

ZERO BAGS WERE FUMBLED. And I SAID WHAT I SAID. I do not believe people should accept jobs that literally impact someone’s life and career, just cause ‘vibes’. When they know full well they have no idea what they’re doing.

I later went onto say I ended up vibing when I opened the restaurant and didn’t have the experience, but believe me when I say, I made sure that everyone was paid.

There was another clip (reposted onto Link Up TV, thank you guys, love you xx) that was talking about how Krept once told me when he opened his restaurant he didn’t realise the kitchen was too small for the amount of covers, and the same thing happened to me.

People are in the comments talkum bout ‘The space was actually good enough tbh’ SORRY SIR HAVE YOU BEEN IN MY KITCHEN? And “This is silly why have a space that can’t meet the demand for the product”… Dude, that’s LITERALLY THE POINT OF WHAT I’M SAYING. When I purchased the place, I wasn’t aware that the size of the kitchen wasn’t able to meet the demand of the product… duh.

Listening to LISTEN, to UNDERSTAND is critical. It’s so so critical guys.

I cannot believe how in 2026 people are still so miserable that they see something good and something positive and their first thought is ‘What comment can I drop here to be a nincompoop and bring somebody or something down’

We must do better.

Love
